Pet Search and Rescue ("PETSAR") respects your privacy. We only collect information necessary to coordinate lost pet searches.

What We Collect

When you create a lost pet listing, we store your contact information, location, and pet description. Location addresses are fuzzed before being shown publicly. We also collect device tokens for push notifications and basic usage data to improve the app.

How Information Is Used

Your information is used solely to coordinate search efforts and send relevant notifications (sighting alerts, volunteer updates). We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

Location Data

PETSAR uses your location to show nearby lost pets, assign search grids, and track search coverage. Location data is only collected when the app is in use and you have granted permission.

Your Choices

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@psar.app.
